The Russian Grand Prix will not take place. Formula 1 has officially announced that the race scheduled in Sochi in September cannot be held “given the current conditions”. The decision, a consequence of the war in Ukraine, comes after a confrontation between the teams in Barcelona, on the occasion of the pre-championship tests. Clearly the Formula 2 calendar will also change this date by probably inserting another circuit.
In the meantime, the collective tests will be held in Barhain and then the season will begin with the GP in Sakhir on March 19-20.
