Excellent weekend at SPA for MP Motorsport with points in Formula 2 and Formula 3

The second part of the season has begun for the Motorsport championships linked to Formula 1 which, after a few weeks off, have faced a new weekend of racing at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The MP Motorsport team, partner of Draco Marketing, scored many points in both the F2 and F3 categories with excellent results.

In Formula 2, the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich is still firmly at the top of the championship standings with 205 points against the 162 points of Pourchaire, in second place. Drugovich took pole position in qualifying, 4th place in Race 1 and 2nd step of the podium in the Feature Race, reaffirming his leadership. Teammate Clément Novalak took 17th place in race 1 and 10th place in race 2.

In Formula 3 great performances by Caio Collet who conquered pole in qualifying. In race 1, with reversed grids, Alexander Smolyar, his teammate, obtained the podium with an excellent 3rd place, followed by Collet in 10th and Maini in 13th. In race 2 Collet remains in the first places throughout the competition, but due to a 5″ penalty, he ends up in 6th position, Smolyar 9th and Maini out due to an accident.

Next appointment in Zandvoort on 3-4 September.
