Website FIA.COM Mandatory shutdown period for all teams moved to March and April and extended from 14 to 21 days In light of the global impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus currently affecting the organisation of FIA Formula One World Championship events, the World Motor Sport Council has approved a change to the 2020 FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations, moving the summer shutdown period from July and August to March and April and extending it from 14 to 21 days. All competitors must therefore observe a shutdown period of 21 consecutive days during the months of March and/or April. The change was supported unanimously by both the F1 Strategy Group and F1 Commission.

Three Test Days completed in Bahrain for Mp Motorsport

The Formula 2 and Formula 3 team were testing the last couple of days in Bahrain. It was the first test of the year with a significant update in Formula 2. The Formula 2 cars got the 18-inch tyres for the upcoming new race season. The drivers had to experiment a lot with the tyres to get a better understanding and feel for it. The three test days got split up in four different sessions per day one-morning session for the Formula 3 cars and a morning session for the Formula 2 cars. The drivers had to do some qualifying simulations and race simulations in both categories. See here below the results of the test.
