Turning point for the V8 3.5 championship in its fifth season stage in the Silverstone circuit in England. Fortec team, Draco Marketing Partner, was on track Friday for the two rounds of free practice and Saturday for the first qualifying in which Louis Deletraz won the 3rd row, followed by teammate Peter Fittipaldi in the 4th row. At the start of the formation lap the Deletraz’s car was turned off and the Swiss driver had to start from the pits. In the race he struggled in the rear finishing 10th. Instead Fittipaldi got the 6th position. Sunday the second qualifying took place with both drivers Fortec in the 4th row. In Race 2 Deletraz crossed the line 6th, while Fittipaldi was retired.
In the overall ranking Deletraz is currently in 3rd place with 119 points, with a gap of 5 points to Nissany, at second place.
